Named after the first muezzin of Islam, Masjid Bilal Ibn Rabah carries on a legacy of community call and service. Our weekly Quran recitation circle on Imperial Avenue brings together Southeast San Diego community members for structured tajweed practice led by a certified instructor who provides individualized feedback.
A weekly halaqa at Masjid Bilal Ibn Rabah for Muslimahs in the Southeast San Diego community, focused on the study of Quran, hadith, and the rich tradition of Islamic scholarship. The circle is a space of genuine sisterhood where all women are welcomed regardless of their level of Islamic knowledge.
Masjid Bilal Ibn Rabah's Youth Group empowers Muslim teens in Southeast San Diego through weekly programs rooted in Islamic brotherhood, leadership, community service, and sports. Inspired by the example of Bilal ibn Rabah, we cultivate resilience, faith, and civic pride in our young community members.
Masjid Bilal Ibn Rabah welcomes all who have taken or are considering Shahada with a compassionate one-day orientation workshop. Covering the basics of Islamic practice, community life, and personal reflection, this workshop is designed to make new Muslims feel truly at home in the Southeast San Diego community.
Masjid Bilal Ibn Rabah, named after the companion who embodied dignity and brotherhood, hosts a one-day marriage preparation workshop for engaged couples in Southeast San Diego. Drawing on Islamic marital ethics and practical communication skills, participants leave equipped with a shared foundation of values and expectations for a strong Islamic home.
Masjid Bilal Ibn Rabah's Weekend Islamic School provides children in the Southeast San Diego community with a meaningful 10-month education in Quran, Islamic studies, and Arabic. Inspired by the ethos of Islamic brotherhood and social equity, the school is committed to quality Islamic education for all families on Imperial Avenue.
Following the tradition of Bilal ibn Rabah, who recited the Quran with unparalleled devotion, Masjid Bilal Ibn Rabah invites children and young adults on Imperial Avenue to embark on the sacred journey of Quran memorization. Our 24-month Hifz Program pairs each student with a dedicated hafiz who provides personalized instruction and ongoing review throughout the curriculum.

Masjid Bilal Ibn Rabah honors the memory of every Muslim with complete and respectful janazah services for Southeast San Diego families. Our team assists families through ghusl, kafan, the janazah prayer, and burial arrangements at local Islamic facilities, available around the clock.
Masjid Bilal Ibn Rabah on Imperial Avenue provides free Islamic counseling for community members facing personal, relational, or spiritual challenges. Sessions are confidential and guided by qualified counselors who integrate Islamic wisdom with compassionate listening.
Masjid Bilal Ibn Rabah celebrates the blessed union of Muslim couples through a properly conducted nikah ceremony. Our imam officiates with the full requirements of Islamic marriage law, including witnesses and mahr. All donations support the masjid's community programs on Imperial Avenue.
Our four-session pre-marital counseling package at Masjid Bilal Ibn Rabah equips couples in Southeast San Diego with the tools for a strong Islamic marriage. Topics include Islamic marital rights, managing differences, finances, and raising children in the faith, offered by our qualified counselor.
